Jocelyn graduated with honours in the fast track Advanced Massage Therapy program at Georgian College in Barrie in December of 2016. She is registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists in Ontario (CMTO) since 2017.
While attending Georgian, she had the opportunity to work with people in the public clinic with a wide array of conditions and injuries - clinics were geared to persistent pain, pregnancy/infant care, sports related care, Fibro/RA/Lupus care, and complex care (geriatric, brain/spinal injuries, cancer (breast - mastectomy), MS, Stroke, Orthopedic Surgery, etc)
In her practice now, she continues to see many people with these conditions and more. She has developed a special interest in working with people who experience persistent pain, TMJ (jaw) pain, tension headaches/migraines, concussions & whiplash symptoms, physical symptoms related to mental health or trauma and range of movement restrictions.
She continues educating herself to remain evidence-informed and continue being patient-centered. In the future, she looks forward to continuing to develop a more trauma-informed approach to care. By keeping current with research, conferring with colleagues, networking with other health care professionals in the area, she strives to provide you and your family with optimal care.
Her hobbies outside of her practice include spending time with her family, which includes: hiking, fishing, camping, and exploring Barrie and the surrounding area.
