Animal Chiropractic

Animal Chiropractic is a manual therapy that addresses dysfunction in your pet’s muscular, skeletal and nervous systems. This is a specialized complementary treatment to your regular veterinary care. Decreased motion in the joints of the body may lead to pain, muscle tension and compensatory changes. A chiropractic adjustment directs a quick, gentle thrust to the restricted joints to restore motion while stimulating the nervous system. Trauma, slips, repetitive strain, advancing age, poor leash habits, confinement, post surgery and performance training are just a few reasons why animals can benefit from chiropractic treatment.

To determine if your pet can benefit from chiropractic treatment look for some of the following signs:

  • Pain/facial expression
  • Change in behavior or energy levels
  • Change in stance, gait or sitting posture
  • Reluctance with stairs, jumping and certain movements
  • Stiffness or weakness
  • Difficulty chewing
  • Scratching/licking
